FlexiSheet - Screenshots

A Sample Table

This table contains sample portfolio data.* It has three dimensions, "Stocks" displayed as rows, "Trading Dates" displayed as columns, and "Daily Data" shown as tabs at the bottom.
If you create a table like this in a traditional spread sheet, data is segmented into three sheets, one each for High, Low, and Close values. It would not be possible to have all data visible at once. That's because only one of the three sheets is visible at a time.
When printing or exporting this table, you get three parts that make up the complete set.

Same table data, different view

In FlexiSheet, what's a sheet and what is rows or columns is a decision the user can make on the fly. By just dragging the "Daily Data" pane from the bottom to the top, positioning it next to the "Trading Dates" pane, the view is rearranged.
In the same manner rows and columns can be swapped, the Stocks dimension can be moved to the bottom or right to have a sheet for every stock, etc. This way, you can choose the right view for the task at hand, be it editing, analysing, or printing.
