FlexiSheet Beta Now Available
First Beta of Next Generation Spreadsheet Released
DORTMUND, Germany, October 18, 2001 - Material Arts today announced the availability of a first beta release of FlexiSheet, it's new multi-dimensional spreadsheet application.
FlexiSheet follows in the big footsteps of such great applications as Lotus Improv and Lighthouse Design's Quantrix. Taking an object oriented approach to tables and data, it allows the user to reorganize rows and columns on the fly, without losing data. FlexiSheet's user interface was designed from scratch to adhere to Apple's Aqua guidelines and makes number crunching really easy and enjoyable. FlexiSheet is available only for Mac OS X, Apple's next generation operating system.
"A lot of people familiar with the old Lighthouse productivity suite on OPENSTEP would like to see these applications on Mac OS X", Material Arts founder Stefan Leuker said. "There was a lot of positive feedback after the pre-announcement in September. Although FlexiSheet is still missing some features, we want to make the application publically available at this point to get feedback from more people with actual hands-on experience."
More information can be obtained from the Material Arts web site.
